Well I have been gone for a long time and decided to restart this blog thing back up. From now on I will try my best to keep this up dated a lot more and better for my readers if there are any out there? Well for people who don't know already we are expecting our first little one at the beginning of next year. Beginning of a NEW ERA

Well today I am starting my new job/career. I am so excited to get started even though that I know I truly won't be doing what I am hired for in atleast a week. First I have to be trained and also sign a lot of paper's before I get started. Can't wait to start!!! I'll let you all know how it went later.

Start of a New Month:NOVEMBERRRRR

So we have just begun a new month and I have just implemented my new philosophy on writing down every credit card or check card transaction we make. So far we have made two of them today and they both are written in the notebook. I am not quite sure what I am going to get out of this but I think it should turn out to help me somewhat on the spending we do. This could get me more focused on when to buy items such ass the grocery store. I have been trying to get my wife to get into the idea that every third week or so we will go grocery shopping. If we need something small we shouldn't go and get that stuff and save it for next time. In many cases we end up going back in a week to pick up a few things in which I do not like doing this. It ends up leading to spending more money then what I want to spend. So to end it all I hope the notebook thing works out for us but if doesn't I will try other things.

Well I had my interview today for a better job. Well this job entitles me to my own vehicle at work and cellphone all the time. Plus I get to work alone, I will be making $3 more a hour then the current job and finally but not least I won't have to worry about people bitching and whining about prices of gas and cigs woohooo!!!! Any ways I only had one interview with them but I think I got the job solely based on my connection inside the company. While I was in the interview I met with a general manager and he stated that he wanted to someone that wants to move up in the company and not someone who just wants to do this job for their whole life. Just so you know my current job I was waiting to move up but they took to long and the new job said that after a year then I could have a chance of moving into the business aspect of it. I am so excited nothing like starting a new job when you have worked at your previous one for 9+ years.

Starting in November I will start logging everything that I purchase by credit and check card into a small notebook. I got this idea from another PFer but the name slips my mind so once I remember where I got it from then I will give credit where its due. Other things in November that are changing could be that job interview I have on Wednesday. If this job goes through it'll be an extra $300 in the pocket for us. To the rest of the Pfers you guys sure do a great job on showing us newbies what and how to help your finances out.

Sorry for not really introducing myself but here goes. Well I am a 28 year old college student who is happily married for almost 1 1/2 years. I am currently in school for Web Design. My previous college experience was with Exercise Science but one I found out the incomes for this type of career I kind of hit the road and decided to further my knowledge in computers. I have always liked computers as much as weightlifting so I could not do any wrong by switching careers. So this blog will be talking about our financial situation, other things in our life, and maybe once in a while a sports article. We currently live in the Twin Cities(USA)and are also looking to by a house in the late spring to early summer time. Interview Update

As I have said before I might have a job interview coming up but for sure I know its going to be on Wednesday yippie...I am so nervous since this will be my first real interview for a job since my current job of 9 plus years I didn't have to have an interview for. So before the interview I will need to go and get a good haircut done and maybe purchase some pants since all I own right now it khakis shorts and one pair of jeans. I sure hope I get this job since it'll be a three plus a little more dollar increase in my wage. We will see what happens!!!!

Off track a bit

Well for you NHLers has the season begun the way you would hope it would. Being a Wild fan it couldn't started off any better besides the resent loss to the Kings. We didn't play that well and took a lot of penalties that were not needed. I will keep everyone updated to what's happening in Wild land!!!

Job Update

Well my current job is taking way to long for me to wait and make the money I need to purchase a new house. I have a job interview coming up soon and this job will pay me quite a more bit then what I a making right now. Plus I will have a set schedule unlike the current job I have been at for 9 years. I sure hope I get this job because I know for one this will help us out quite a bit and then I do not have to depend on selling stuff online(even though its decent money). We will see what the next weeks to come has in tail for me.

Down Payment?

I have been contemplating whether we should or need to put a down payment on a house we may get in the spring. I have heard from others that we shouldn't put one down because all it does it remove $20 off the total mortgage payment. I started to think that $20 is a lot of money in my mind but they maybe correct. I know some homes that you purchase require a down payment before purchasing. My goal was to save or earn $10,000 by June of 08 by selling things online and when we receive "gifts" from other family members. The other reason they told me not to put a down payment on the house is after you purchase the house then that's where you can put the money down. Well I will look into this further and hope to achieve my goal by June. I'll keep everyone informed.

Job Status

Well of late I have been contemplating what I want to do for my career. I have realized that I am going to stay with my current job choice which I have been at for 9 plus years and work as a part-time at home web designer once I am done with college. The reason I am staying with my current job is the benefits they give you. They just came out with an new 401k plan which is really an awesome idea compared to what we had before. Plus I am thinking of moving up in my company so that my pay is higher before we purchase our first home. This pay raise should ease the strain of what we are going through right now. We pay quite a bit for a under size apartment where we cannot fit everything into. We will see what the weeks coming up has to offer in my job scenario.

Vacation vs. Home

Well I have been contemplating about either going on a trip with the wifey or should we skip a trip and just save for a home of ours? Most people would say save the house and then take the trip later. The reasoning behind why I am debating this is that we both "need" a trip to relax and get away from the everyday stress we have encountered. Plus I want to and so does my wife wants to travel places. I would like to take her to LV(Las Vegas) since she has never been there but I wouldn't mind overseas or even down south would be fine also.
Right now the saving for our own place has won out but I am still looking forward to traveling sometime in the near future. This debate will not end until one or both of them is resolved.

Why I signed up for PPP

There are a few reasons that I signed up for PPP, the first reason was that it was an easy way of making some extra cash without a lot of hard work. We all are looking for extra money here and there and for me PPP provided this. The ability to work at this at home while doing my favorite thing, such as writing and reading on the Internet drew me in even faster then I thought. The second reason I signed up was to take this cash we can earn and put it towards a down payment to a new place to live.
Meeting new friends was another reason why I thought this would be a great tool to have. I have met a few people in the months that I have my blog running but I think once the word gets out that my blog is around, then I will have an incredible amount of more friends to speak with. The ability to meet this friends from all over the world is a great learning opportunity plus it may even give you a chance at landing a job outside your country. Networking with people can increase you profitability and the chance to increase your PPP chances.
As I have stated this before I am looking to saving the money earned on PPP to be put towards a house, but I will or might also save some of the money and put it into an annuity account so that when I am older I will have the funds needed.

Debating

Well I have been thinking about posting my personal finances on here like other bloggers but I am not sure if I am totally liking the risk of putting up what type of credit cards I have in my name. So my idea is that I might just state the debt I have and then put Credit Card #1, Credit Card #2 and so forth. For me this then will be enough privacy that it will give the reader some chance to see how much debt there and at the same time give me enough security by not telling the whole world what CC I have. Well I am trying my best to get this info out in my blog but it is taking me longer then expected. Anyways everyone else keep writing great blogs that I read everyday and I will try to get my to be half as good.

Well my goal was to start our financial goals once October came around so later today I will have our goals thrown up on this board for everyone to read. I will update this site on a more regular basis just been trying to get this going while being a fulltime worker and fulltime college student. My goal for you readers is to have an article on which bank I should choose to put some savings away. I will look into that once I am off of work.

Financial Stability

I have been reading many blogs that people have on the internet. The personal finance blogs sure have been inspirational to me and I hope to use their information to get my wife's and I debt in order. We have been at a tough spot ever since we have been married which is over one year now. It just seems that we only can make a certain payment like lets say $200 every month but by the time the next payment comes then we are at where we left off at the previous month. What I am trying to say is if this doesn't change soon then our goal of a house soon will not happen. I have been realizing or knew what I need to do for us in order for this to happen, a) lower our credit debt, b) raise my credit history, c) save money better. I need to start saving more then I am right now, I try my best but like the saying says, you may try your best but it may not be the best. I haven't yet started my PF goals but hopefully this will be done soon, dependent on how school interfers with it.

Beginning of the end

I think I have stated this before my wife and I want to get our first home when spring/summer is here next year. I know I need to buckle down a lot if this is going to happen. I have been thinking of a financial plan that I could put to use once the first of October comes. I have read some excellent blogs such as Single Ma, Debt Kid, and the Beachgurl blog. These people make me think that with some planning that we can make it to our new house next year. Tomorrow I am going through a few things to see where I could save a few extra dollars. I have started a second income but so far it has only netted me $43. If you would like to know what I am doing then I surely will make a post abut it.

Another day, another day lost to my sucky ass job!!! I need some real help in finding a job that I can enjoy for a long time. My perfect job description would be to work 7 or 8 til 3 or 4. Have most weekends if not all off. Leave whenever or even show up whenever and get paid salary. If anyone knows of a computer related job in Minnesota that will hire an inexperience guy like me since I am still in college learning the trade let me know asap!! I will be your biggest fan..

Financial Wonderings

Of late I have been wanting to start saving more money for my wife and I so that when May comes around and our lease is up on our apartment that we could purchase a house. In short I really need to start doing this pretty quickly so that we do have enough saved and that we can moved out of this place. I have been reading many other blogs such as Single Ma's blog and Young and Broke's blog and they have some insightful information about a bank called ING Direct. This bank seems to be everybody's pick into a savings account choice. They offer a interest that is almost 5 times of what I have right now through the bank I am at. So I will do a little more research into ING Direct before I move forward. If I do get an account I will not move all of my money from my current bank to this one just for the fact I am very unsure of it so far.

Well the day turned out to be another long one for me. I had to work from 7-4 and then I have been online ever since I have gotten home. I decided to sell more books online at half.com to make some more income and I am still waiting to get the ok to start using payperpost. Well if you don't know by now about the four football players kicked off the U of Mn team, then I would think you live a sheltered life. This dismissal will affect more then what people think. I am sorry that it happened to the people involved. But why are players putting themselves into these type of situations? They don't need to be doing this shit because they are well recognized for playing on a Division 1 team. most of the followers of the team knew it doesn't matter that they are not on the team now since anyways they would have been suspended. Well that's enough GOPHER talk today.(still looking at those tickets for this year) Onto what else is going on, I am taking a few more classes in the second quarter they are Intro to HTML and Intro to Business.Should be fun! Well that's all for now and I'll have more interesting things to talk about tomorrow.

Good Morning

Well it's almost 8 am on Wednesday the 18th here. Just writing a short blog before I go to work and have "so much fun" there, just kidding about that. I think I would have a funner time watching paint dry. Anyways, a few things that have been running through my head is that I have been looking into getting some season tickets for the University of Minnesota football games. I was going to get them in 2009 when they open up the new stadium (about time), but I heard from a customer who comes into my store, he works for the U, told me to get your season tickets now so that you can be able to have season tickets for the new stadium. For people who don't know the new stadium will only fit 40,000 fans so the tickets will sell out fast. I ended up yesterday trying to check out online how much they cost but believe or not the online buying of them is down right now. So in turn I have to make a call to them sometime soon to see the prices. If anybody out there already knows let me know about it. Well it's off to work!!
